Key Responsibilities of the Position

The primary objectives of this role include:

  1. Strategic Management: Plan and execute the delivery of a portfolio of projects, leveraging PRINCE2-based frameworks and Agile methodologies to achieve operational excellence.
  2. Schedule Oversight: Ensure timely project schedules, aligning scope management with project/program plans and approved designs to guarantee successful outcomes.
  3. Risk and Quality Management: Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and quality for portfolios and programs, utilizing EPMO-endorsed tools to inform decision-making.
  4. Financial Governance: Oversee financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting for portfolios, programs, and projects, representing projects in program and project meetings to drive business acumen.
  5. Compliance and Standards: Maintain adherence to Bureau standards and regulations, contributing to governance, process improvements, and template enhancements.
  6. Resource Optimization: Manage and coordinate program and project resources to deliver work packages and products, ensuring resource forecasting, onboarding, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.
  7. Service Delivery: Coordinate service delivery for Design, Build, Testing, Transition to Operations, Technology Change Management, Implementation, and Post-Implementation Review, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Procurement and Resourcing: Oversee procurement of hardware, software, and IT services, ensuring strategic resourcing and funding to support business objectives.
  9. Health and Safety: Comply with all Bureau health and safety policies, prioritizing personal and others' safety.
  10. Cultural Commitment: Demonstrate commitment to APS Values, Employment Principles, Code of Conduct, and the Bureau's Social Justice Strategy.
