This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal Australians.
We are seeking an experienced and culturally aware Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team at Acacia Prison. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our Registered Nurses to assess the health needs of Aboriginal patients and develop effective healthcare plans.
- Key Responsibilities:
Assess the health needs of Aboriginal patients and develop comprehensive healthcare plans under the supervision of our Registered Nurses.
Cross-refer patients to other health professionals and services to ensure holistic care.
Respond to medical emergencies and administer medications as required.
Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
AHPRA Registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or working towards registration.
Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent experience in primary health care settings.
High-level personal integrity and ethical behavior.
