Staff Specialist Psychiatrist

This role involves providing expert psychiatric care and leadership in a regional hospital.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions.
  • Lead the Mental Health and Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Services teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to policy development, education, and research initiatives that enhance psychiatric care and services.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive experience in addictions psychiatry, including working with Indigenous and rural communities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
