About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter with Glencore, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power generation facilities. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing maintenance activities that uphold production and statutory requirements.

This challenging role will see you working within skilled and enthusiastic teams, developing and applying your technical skills and mining industry knowledge. You will be part of the Mines Power Station Maintenance team, providing Statutory, Preventative, and Breakdown maintenance of Turbo Alternators, Boilers, Oxygen Plants, Cooling Towers, Water treatment plant, Blowers, Compressors, Tanks, and pressure vessels.

The successful candidate will possess:
  • Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential
  • Ability to think logically and solve problems
  • Previous power generation or high-speed rotating equipment experience
  • Current manual driver's license
  • Experience within mining/heavy industry environment
  • Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Self-motivated Solution Seeking attitude and enjoy working in small yet highly productive teams
  • Ability to adapt to change in duties from day to day
