About the Role

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking skilled Diesel Fitters to join our award-winning team in Mount Isa. As a Diesel Fitter, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology, including computer-controlled systems and electronic diagnostic tools, making the work challenging and engaging.

We offer a competitive hourly rate with 16% wage increase over the next 3 years, thanks to our newly negotiated Enterprise Agreement. As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Repairing, maintaining, and servicing key CAT machinery and components
  • Equipment assembly of Caterpillar equipment
  • Using Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, and SIS)
  • Performing diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment
  • Working as part of a skilled and driven team
  • Working in a fast-paced environment to achieve target times for repairs
