Job Description

We are seeking a detail-driven Finance Assistant to join our finance team in Sydney. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring smooth operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Accounting Operations Manager and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to both local and global finance processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who can make a meaningful impact on our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and improving Accounts Payable processes, including validating payment proposals and resolving supplier queries.
  • Leading monthly and year-end PO accruals and quarterly FBT reporting.
  • Approving SKU creations and price changes to support accurate financial data.
  • Coordinating period-end close activities and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Reviewing account reconciliations and supporting compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GL, sub-ledger, income statement, balance sheet).
  • Experience in AP/AR and passion for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proactive mindset with drive to improve processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
