Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the delivery of legislation and other projects in a law division. The Assistant Director, Project Facilitation role is a high-impact position that requires strong communication and relationship management skills.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with policy and legal teams to deliver integrated governance oversight, program coordination, and project delivery solutions across functions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored project facilitation support to legislative and non-legislative projects;
  • Establishing and operating governance and assurance structures for diverse and complex projects;
  • Developing customised delivery timeframes for projects;
  • Critically analysing projects and work programs to inform business improvements;
  • Working with senior leaders and stakeholders to monitor and address risks and delivery pressures.

This is a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary environment that values innovation and flexibility. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management or facilitation roles, and/or project management qualifications. Knowledge of legislation processes is desirable but not essential.

The recruitment process will be used to create a merit list for similar project management or project facilitation roles within the department.
