The Mercy Hospital in the Home Medical Officer role is an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our team and provide high-quality patient care in a unique and challenging environment.
This role is accredited for RACGP Extended Skills Post and is ideal for GPT 3 and above registrar positions. It is also suitable for physician training and/or Emergency Medicine.
As a Medical Officer in Hospital in the Home, you will work closely with HITH consultants, Resident Medical Officers, and Senior Nurses to provide care for patients in their homes. The role is well-supported by daily consultant supervision and rounding, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About You- You must have valid APHRA medical registration.
- You will work full-time or part-time at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
- You will have great experience for a general position and hospital in the home and ambulatory positions are great for doctors interested in general practice.
- Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
You will be a resilient, compassionate, and flexible individual with excellent clinical, time management, organisational, and communication skills. You will be able to adapt and problem-solve, and have a positive approach to effective patient care and management.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining, a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check, as well as current COVID-19 certification, proof of current influenza vaccination, and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
