The Role:

As a Hybrid Cloud Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our hybrid network infrastructure, ensuring seamless system operations and end-user experience.

You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and resolve network challenges while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate traditional IT infrastructure, cloud networks, and interconnectivity technologies.
  • Configure and manage Fortigate and Azure firewalls to ensure secure and optimized network performance.
  • Research, analyze, evaluate, and monitor cloud network infrastructure to ensure networks are correctly configured and performing as intended.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to deploy, manage, and monitor network infrastructure effectively.
  • Troubleshoot L4-L7 application performance issues, ensuring seamless system operations and end-user experience.

Network Optimization:

  • Assess and recommend improvements to network architecture in line with best practices and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve network challenges while ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Provide documentation for network configurations, architecture designs, and maintenance processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience maintaining hybrid network environments, including traditional and cloud infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience with Fortigate and Azure firewalls configuration and maintenance.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in diagnosing L4-L7 application performance issues.
  • A deep understanding of network protocols, architecture best practices, and security frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a government or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and security guidelines relevant to federal operations.
