Your Role

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Thales Australia, you'll be part of the Engineering Environments team driving our journey towards a Cloud-first, data-driven organisation. You'll design, engineer, and implement Cloud solutions for the AMS organisation, modernising our infrastructure and enhancing our ways of working.

We seek a 'team first' team member who is organised, proactive, and open to learning. Our highly collaborative environment prioritises continuous learning and growth.

This role is based in our Melbourne CBD office, with a flexible hybrid schedule (three days in the office and two days from home).

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing solutions for infrastructure and security needs
  • Driving continuous and consistent delivery through automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Crafting reusable solutions and patterns for CI/CD pipelines
  • Promoting and sharing best practices for CI/CD
  • Troubleshooting and resolving DevSecOps issues

Essential technical skills include:

  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle with 2+ years of commercial experience
  • Experience or understanding of DevSecOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Terraform, and Git
  • Experience with Azure, Linux (RedHat), Windows, and programming/scripting skills (Go, Python, JAVA, Perl, bash)
  • Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code, Configuration Management, and Containerisation

Qualifications/Certificates

  • Formal qualification in Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
  • Australian citizenship may be required for defence clearance purposes
