At St Vincent's, we're looking for a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Emergency Department team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with a dedicated and experienced clinical team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Job Description

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in our Emergency Department, you'll be responsible for providing effective admission and discharge processes, as well as case management of patients with extended lengths of stay. You'll work closely with the Assistant Director of Clinical Services to develop strategies to maximise cost-effectiveness and efficiency in the discharge process.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and healthcare professionals, and contribute to creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive care environment. Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential.

  • Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices.

  • Ability to participate in quality improvement activities.

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in relevant specialty.

  • Willingness to work on a permanent part-time basis.

  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
