Renewable Energy Engineering Internship

A boutique size company is offering a 12-week internship program for Electrical and Electronics Engineering students and graduates.

This internship is the perfect way to be part of an emerging industry in Australia, where you will gain hands-on experience in wind, solar, and building services energy efficiency projects.

You will learn from the ground up through the tendering process, planning, design, construction, and hand-over of major sustainability projects throughout Australia. As the Renewable Energy Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your electrical and electronics engineering theoretical knowledge in real-time.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Solar Design and Quotations: Preparing solar designs and quotations using software such as Aurora Solar and PVSell.
  • Battery Storage Estimation: Developing in-house competencies to estimate commercial battery storage.
  • Tender Review and Sales Growth: Reviewing quotations and tender sales and profit growth opportunities.
  • Collaboration and Due Diligence: Collaborating with suppliers, installers, and customers along with senior project engineers, and conducting technical due diligence of proposed and existing solar and wind energy systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Solar Energy Systems Design: Solar energy systems design and proposal generation using design software.
  • Industry-Grade Software: Using industry-grade software such as HelioScope, Aurora Solar, PVSell, and AutoCAD.
  • Clean Energy Council Certification: Opportunity and experience in working on Clean Energy Council evidenced projects, and training as a CEC certified engineer.
  • Australian Standards and Design Codes: Understanding of Australian Standards and Design Codes.
