The role of a teacher in a Catholic school is unique, requiring them to ensure each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually, and to live purposeful lives. Supported by the Catholic community, teachers invite students and their families into a faith-filled educational experience, promoting the school as a place of learning and excellence where creativity and curiosity are nurtured and students are connected with their world through deep learning and engagement.
We seek an Education Professional who can promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles, including digital learning. The successful candidate will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes, acknowledging and agreeing to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the ability to articulate a clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic Education, supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school. You will also be able to apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments, meeting the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students.
You will have demonstrated ability to effectively utilise assessment and relevant school data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes, working collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes. Additionally, you will demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset that supports and enhances a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment.
Requirements- Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher
- Active NESA Accreditation
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of anaphylaxis training
- Completion of CPR training
$65,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
This salary range reflects the typical compensation package for a primary teacher in New South Wales, taking into account factors such as location, qualifications, and level of experience. The actual salary may vary based on individual circumstances.
