Job Title: Dealership Heavy Vehicle Auto Electrician

A highly skilled and motivated Auto Electrician is sought after by a leading truck dealership to fill a challenging role that involves the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and upgrading electrical components, including lighting, GPS, communication and entertainment systems. They must also conduct thorough electrical inspections and testing to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.

A team player with excellent problem-solving skills, they will collaborate effectively with the Service team to prioritise and complete electrical repairs within designated timeframes. Accurate records of electrical work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job will be kept up-to-date.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems in commercial trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Install and upgrade electrical components, including lighting, GPS, communication and entertainment systems.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and testing to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with the Service team to prioritise and complete electrical repairs within designated timeframes.
  • Keep accurate records of electrical work performed, parts used and time spent on each job.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in the commercial truck industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented mindset ensuring accurate and thorough electrical inspections and repairs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
