Heavy Duty Mechanic Required

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, loaders, and excavators. This will involve troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and implementing effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime.

Additional responsibilities will include assisting with the planning of maintenance work, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and management, and adhering to all relevant workplace health and safety procedures.

Our ideal candidate will possess a Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification and significant experience in the industry, with competencies to operate mobile plant preferred.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be exposed to a physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, and weather most days. Regular duties will involve standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reading, talking, and hearing, with regular lifting of items of reasonable weight. Movement around on and in trucks and mobile equipment will also be required.
