Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist

A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Configuration Management specialist to join our team. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the integrity and accuracy of configuration data across complex IT environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing configuration items, collaborating with internal teams, monitoring data quality, and producing reports to meet service level agreements. They will also assist in maintaining the Configuration Data Model and corresponding CI classes and lifecycles, as well as delivering training sessions to promote understanding of configuration management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage configuration items, ensuring their accurate identification, classification, recording, tracking, auditing, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to uphold the integrity of the CMDB and support process improvements that drive operational excellence.
  • Monitor data quality, processing updates to critical records, and producing insightful reports.
  • Maintain the Configuration Data Model and corresponding CI classes and lifecycles.
  • Deliver training sessions to promote understanding of configuration management processes.

Requirements:
  • At least two years' experience in ITIL-based configuration management or asset management administration within medium or large-scale IT environments is essential for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices alongside continual improvement initiatives that benefit both customers and colleagues alike.
  • Experience working with managed service providers or operating under a service integration and management (SIAM) model is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms or hosted solutions adds significant value when supporting diverse technology landscapes.
