As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will oversee the overall direction and strategy of financial governance, reporting, and compliance across multiple entities. This critical role involves leading month-end processes, overseeing tax and payroll obligations, managing cash flow, and driving process improvement to provide timely and accurate insights into performance and risk to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Management: Manage weekly cash flow forecasting and reporting, approve supplier, PAYG, and statutory payments.
  • Payroll Oversight: Review and approve permanent, healthcare, and contractor payroll, sign off on monthly super and payroll tax, lead annual Payroll Tax and WorkCover reconciliations.
  • Financial Close & Reporting: Drive timely month-end processes across all Group entities, including regular Balance Sheet reconciliations, report on the P&L and Balance Sheet for each entity in the Group.
  • Tax Advisory: Collaborate with external accountants on tax strategy and compliance, manage financial statement queries, and stay current with regulatory changes.
  • Aged Receivable Management: Review aged receivables, manage overdue accounts, lead discussions with EGMs, GMs, and Directors to support revenue collection.
  • Governance & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain finance policies and procedures to protect company assets and ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Compliance & Risk: Help manage and mitigate risk, ensure delegation of authority rules are applied.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to bi-annual Budget processes, track actual performance against targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years' experience in financial control or senior management accounting roles, preferably in multi-entity environments.
  • Deep working knowledge of Australian taxation (GST/BAS, FBT, payroll tax, super, PRT, WorkCover).
  • Demonstrated success in cash flow forecasting, debtor finance management, and facilities and treasury management.
  • Proven track record of leading month-end processes and liaising with external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing multi-discipline teams, with both local and offshore team members.
