Job Title: Aboriginal Child And Family Consultant

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as an Aboriginal Child and Family Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will provide culturally safe, family-centred, and trauma-informed support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.

About the Role:

The Consultant works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure care is culturally led, holistic, trauma informed and responsive to the experience of Aboriginal families, particularly during the early years of a child's life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide culturally safe, family-centred, and trauma-informed support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure care is culturally led, holistic, trauma informed and responsive to the experience of Aboriginal families.
  • Strengthen connections to culture, kinship, Country, and community while supporting families to navigate health, social, and emotional wellbeing systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Aboriginal children and families in community, health, or education settings.
  • Experience working with families experiencing complex needs, including trauma and grief.
  • Experience in advocacy, case coordination, or family support roles.
  • Experience in out-reach, early childhood development, or parenting support is highly valued.
