Job Overview

This is a crucial role within the maritime program, responsible for maintaining and delivering ship maintenance schedules that support Defence capability.

The successful candidate will have expertise in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera and Open Plan Professional (OPP), with strong proficiency in schedule reporting.

A key aspect of this position is leading planning activities such as the Target Budget Estimate (TBE) process, ensuring compliance with Defence statutory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule Development and Management:
  • Developing and managing service delivery schedules, including integrated maintenance programs and Ship Maintenance Availability schedules
  • Leadership and Planning:
  • Leading planning activities such as the Target Budget Estimate (TBE) process
  • Progress Tracking and Updates:
  • Updating schedules and tracking progress against Contract Deliverables (CDRLs)
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Liaison:
  • Liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Continuous Improvement and Collaboration:
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling and support services
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply, Governance, and Operations
Requirements:
  • Experience and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Scheduler in either an Australian Defence or commercial environment
  • Strong proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera and Open Plan Professional (OPP), with expertise in schedule reporting
  • Personal Qualities and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Security Clearance:
  • Hold (or be eligible to obtain) an AGSVA Baseline security clearance
