Job Overview

The Technical Officer - Property and Building Services role coordinates various building services for Council operational and community buildings, working closely with internal and community stakeholders.

This includes programming building maintenance, services, and works to ensure service levels are met.

Additionally, this position will be part of an on-call roster.

Muswellbrook Shire is one of NSW's most dynamic local government areas.

The shire is now transitioning to being a renewable energy hub.

It also features two of the largest thoroughbred horse studs in the southern hemisphere, a healthy viticulture industry, and a large part of the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park within the Shire.

The area is central to Newcastle, Tamworth, and Dubbo.


Key Responsibilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent with demonstrated relevant work experience.
  • A current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver Job Specific Key Accountabilities outlined in the Position Description.
  • Demonstrated Developed key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table outlined in the Position Description.
