FourQuarters is delighted to be engaged with an aged care provider in Richmond. This dynamic business seeks a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have full working rights and be able to start working within two weeks maximum. They will report directly to the Finance Manager, supporting the finance function across a range of essential accounting tasks.

  • Cash management - Accurately record incoming cash, process payments, and manage banking transactions.
  • Customer payment processing - Record and apply customer payments promptly to their respective accounts, including fees, bonds, and RAD.
  • Customer account reconciliation - Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure all transactions are accurate and up to date.
  • Billing dispute resolution - Address and resolve customer billing issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and accuracy.
  • Delinquency tracking - Monitor customer accounts for any delinquent activity and follow up as needed.
  • Monthly financial reporting - Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly reports to management, summarizing key financial information.
  • Customer service - Provide prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries about billing and payment issues.
  • Corporate credit card management - Process and reconcile corporate credit card expenses, especially for travel-related transactions.
  • Staff travel reimbursement - Process staff travel reimbursement requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Accounts payable voucher processing - Review, code, and enter AP vouchers into the general ledger with accuracy.
  • Capital expenditure processing - Manage CAPEX transactions following office procedures and policies.
  • Supplier liaison - Coordinate with facility administration staff to address supplier account issues and ensure smooth processing.
  • Bank account and credit card statement reconciliation - Reconcile the main bank account, corporate credit card statements, and petty cash accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Audit preparation - Assist in preparing required documentation and supporting schedules for external auditors.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within the aged care or healthcare industry.
  • Systems: Proficiency in MYOB and Excel; confident handling large datasets and using Excel for reporting and analysis.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy across all tasks.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
