Broome, Australia Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care and Disability Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Broome, WA.

As a key member of our team, you will provide support services to community members accessing Aged Care and NDIS services. Your duties will include helping clients with transport, running errands, household chores, and personal chores. You will also be responsible for maintaining case files and completing relevant forms and reports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about helping vulnerable members of the community retain their independence and providing person-centred support. Experience in some administrative work is necessary, as you will need to maintain case files.

A Certificate III in Aged Care or Disability Support is an advantage, but if you don't hold this, we will support you to get your qualification while working. The ability to work autonomously while communicating successfully with people from all backgrounds will also be important in this role.

You will need to hold a current Australian Driver's License and will need to have or obtain a current Working With Children Check (OCHRE Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance prior to starting with us.

What We Offer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and supported Aboriginal Medical Service within a pivotal role. We are committed to improving employee knowledge, skills and experience. In addition, staff development programs are not only encouraged but are often paid for by us.

In addition to a competitive salary from $72,500 - $75,500 FTE plus super, you will receive a host of generous benefits as part of our team, including:

  • Salary-sacrificing options, up to $15,900 annually, to maximise your earning potential and increase your take-home pay
  • Professional development opportunities, so you can sharpen your skills and broaden your horizons during your time with us
  • Additional leave entitlements, including 5 weeks annual leave and 13 weeks long service leave after 7 years of service

Working closely with patients, their families and carers, this is a role where you will witness the direct positive impact you're making in the community, as part of a close-knit team. You will be continually recognised for your dedication and hard work.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
