Payroll Specialist

As a diligent Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our team with the smooth processing of wages. You will work closely with our Finance and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely payment to our wage-earning employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process employee timesheets accurately and efficiently.
  • Interpret awards and apply relevant legislation for EBA wage employees.
  • Manage payroll operations, including wage and salary pay run processing.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and company policies.
  • Respond to payroll queries related to wages staff.
  • Prepare new employee paperwork and calculate termination payments.
  • Implement rate and allowance changes as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or Officer with expertise in preparing and submitting payroll-related reports.
  • Proficiency in payroll software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive employee information while adhering to payroll policies and procedures.
  • High digital literacy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
