
HR Business Development Specialist

This HR role is a true business partner position where every day brings new challenges. You'll work closely with managers across the national network to support all stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management and engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with managers to provide practical advice and help bring the People & Culture strategy to life.
- Contribute to projects that improve business processes – we're always looking to innovate.
- Maintain accurate people data: from workforce planning insights to updating org charts, records, reports, and compliance.
- Ensure contracts, letters, induction packs, and important documents are accurate and ready for use.
- Support with everything from onboarding through to employee changes and daily HR operations.
- Be a trusted advisor on policies and sensitive conversations – helping managers and employees navigate issues with confidence.
- Investigate and resolve grievances and conflicts fairly, confidentially, and quickly.
- Maintain a pulse on workplace culture and help shape initiatives that boost engagement.
- Guide leaders through sensitive matters (discipline, exits, changes) while balancing employment law and company values.
- Support training initiatives around communication, conflict resolution, and respectful workplaces.
- Identify trends in employee relations and share insights to stay proactive.
- A genuine passion for HR – both operational tasks and strategic projects.

- A strong commitment to fairness, safety, and positive workplace culture.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 4+ years experience in a Business Partner or Generalist role.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and award interpretation.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems highly desirable.
