Job Title: Manager, Safety Systems

Our organization is seeking a seasoned safety professional to fill the role of Manager, Safety Systems. As a key member of our Safety Management System (SMS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of our aircraft and the well-being of our passengers and crew.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of our SMS, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the development and embedding of safety improvements, including identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with the Safety, Health, Security, and Sustainability (SHSS) team to promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and leadership to the Coordinator, Safety Management System, aligning their work with broader safety objectives and operational priorities.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience working with safety management systems.
  • Tertiary training in Safety/Engineering/Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in both change and crisis management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to generate pragmatic solutions to joint business problems.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
