Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team as a Senior Sous Chef.

The role of the Senior Sous Chef is multifaceted, requiring strong leadership skills, exceptional culinary abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for demonstrating a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of your work.

You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior chefs, while ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Chef de Partie duties, including menu planning, food preparation, and plating.
  • Liaising with senior chefs to ensure seamless service delivery and minimize waste.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Leading a team of junior chefs, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure they reach their full potential.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A thorough understanding of food safety principles and HACCP protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • An eye for detail, with a focus on quality and presentation.
