Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

The Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a skilled diagnostic imaging specialist to join its team in the Imaging Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic medical imaging services, adhering to national registration, professional practices, and standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive imaging services, including intra-operative fluoroscopy, mobile x-ray, and fixed fluoroscopy modalities.
  • Participate in shift rosters, overtime, and on-call duties as required by the site.
  • Collaborate with senior radiographers, assistant chief radiographers, and chief radiographers at each site.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent prior to commencement of role.
  • Be eligible for registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA).
  • Hold a valid NSW EPA Radiation licence.
  • Currently hold a NSW Drivers licence.
  • Able to reside adjacent to Upper Hunter New England Imaging sites when required.
