Job Description

Hastings Deering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Earthmoving Territory Manager to join their team based in Mount Isa, Far North Queensland.

About the Role

This key position will play a critical role in developing collaborative and trusted customer relationships, identifying key business drivers and opportunities to meet parts and service sales targets. You will be responsible for managing overall customer satisfaction for assigned accounts, positively influencing equipment performance, maintenance, and repair costs by understanding customers' businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall customer satisfaction for assigned accounts and influence positive outcomes through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Develop and execute coverage plans to ensure high-quality customer relations are maintained, with a focus on quality and continuity issues.
  • Communicate value delivery and business initiatives through regular meetings with key customer influencers.
  • Assist with parts supply issues and identify potential market opportunities & threats for commodity growth within your territory.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and equipment records in Hastings Deering's CRM System.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum five years' experience in a customer-facing position, ideally within the heavy earthmoving industry.
  • Demonstrated effective territory management experience, with the ability to manage a large customer base.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Caterpillar product range would be highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Relevant trade qualifications would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
