About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at SHAPE Australia. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the safe, profitable, timely, and quality delivery of projects. This will involve mentoring junior team members, managing project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with building specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects from pre-construction to handover and defect liability
  • Lead and manage project teams, including career and skill development, and mentoring
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with building specifications and standards
  • Manage head and sub-contractual requirements, tender interviews, and contract negotiations
  • Oversee project delivery systems, EHSQ responsibilities, and financial management
Requirements
  • Construction or building-related degree or diploma, or trade background
  • Experience working for a principal contractor in a project management role
  • Strong financial acumen, communication skills, and ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Strong understanding of project management within the construction industry, including specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability
  • Excellent knowledge of EHSQ principles and ability to stay calm under pressure
