Marketing Procurement Specialist

The role of a Procurement Category Manager in Marketing is pivotal in driving business growth and profitability by developing effective procurement strategies.
This is an opportunity for seasoned procurement professionals with a strong background in marketing and commercial services to take on a challenging and rewarding position.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
- At least 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within Corporate Services and Marketing
- Negotiation skills: Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a proven history of delivering substantial, long-term benefits
- Relationship management: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement best practices, principles, and category management processes. They will be proficient in contract management and managing change and communication processes.
As part of a dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction, inflation mitigation, working capital improvement, and revenue generation.
You will develop strategic sourcing plans that align with business objectives and drive value for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies across the Marketing portfolio
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform procurement decisions
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, favourable terms, and service level agreements
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
