Contract Professional for Defence Projects

As a Contract Management Officer in the Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Branch, you will be responsible for managing existing contracts under the Defence Support Services Panel and ensuring compliance with Defence Policy and Directions. You will work closely with broader contract management teams to revise and/or develop commercial governance frameworks, SOPs, and tools.
The role requires implementing initiatives to increase business and commercial acumen of SPO staff. This includes preparing tender documentation and completing tender processes from commencement to contract execution. Additionally, you will provide commercial assistance and guidance to SPO staff, Deputy Director, and Director.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A high level of education and relevant experience in contract management is essential.
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills are necessary to succeed in this role.
- High level organisational skills, self-drive, and initiative are required to influence others and achieve tasks and business objectives.
- A flexible approach and ability to work collaboratively with the Commonwealth and other service providers contracted to the Commonwealth are also required.
