Job Opportunity:
The United Workers Union is seeking to employ highly motivated organisers in Sydney.
About the Role
The United Workers Union is a powerful member-led union whose sole purpose is to serve the collective interests of members in workplaces and communities by winning significant and long-lasting gains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective organising structures that contribute to achieving the union's objectives.
- Create and implement organisational plans to ensure membership growth, member leadership, and industry power.
- Identify and support the development of delegates and members.
- Uphold and promote the union's values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A passion for improving workers' lives and achieving union goals.
- Excellent communication, messaging, and rapport-building skills.
- Ability to develop and motivate members, including educating others.
- Ability to participate in the union's political and social justice agenda.
- Organisational and time-management skills to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
To perform this role, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:
- A valid driver's licence.
- Right of Entry Permits.
- Immunisation against COVID-19 or a medical exemption.
