Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service located on the grounds of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Matraville.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for childcare and be able to provide a safe and inclusive environment for children. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with other educators and parents.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 35 hours per week. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families within the local community.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 5-12 years old. This will include:

  • Providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Planning and implementing engaging educational programs that cater to individual needs and interests
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required

You will work closely with the Regional Coordinator and other educators to ensure seamless delivery of services and high-quality outcomes for children.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • A qualification in Child Education and Care or working towards
  • Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care
  • A Certificate of Training in Child Protection
  • Full First-Aid Certificates
  • An NSW Working with Children Check
