Job Summary
As a key member of the Griffith University team, the Insurance Manager will play a critical role in managing the university's insurance programs, providing expert advice on risk management and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize financial losses and ensure the university's assets are protected.
  • Collaborate with insurers, insurance brokers, and other industry representatives to negotiate policy coverage, premiums, and claims management.
  • Provide guidance to senior management, executive staff, and faculty members on insurance matters, including policy interpretation, claims procedures, and risk assessment.
  • Manage the assessment and settlement of insurance claims, ensuring timely and fair resolution for all parties involved.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, legislative changes, and best practices in risk management to ensure the university's insurance programs remain effective and compliant.
About You:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and systems, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as risk management, finance, or a related discipline.
What We Offer:

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, based at our Nathan campus. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from $,.25 to $,.68 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range of $,.18 to $,.32.
