About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Webuild S.p.A. in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and services for our Snowy 2.0 project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Material & Equipment Manager in defining the procurement strategy.
  • Define the vendor list, prepare requests for proposal, and manage commercial and contractual negotiation activities with suppliers.
  • Perform cost analysis, comparison, and assessment of offers, ensuring technical checks are completed by corporate departments or operational units.
  • Operate in full compliance with project procedures.
  • Manage supplier relations in accordance with the Company's Code of Ethics, Organization, Management, and Control Model, and Anti-Corruption Model.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the project within time, cost, quality, safety, environmental, and community constraints.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in the construction industry in a similar role.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Sound knowledge of construction materials and strong experience within the heavy construction industry.
  • Sound understanding of local and international import/export legislation or requirements.
  • Fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantage.
  • A strong commitment to a team-based environment.
  • Strong collaborative skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Well-developed time management skills.
  • Solid technical writing and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of financial accounting concepts.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets, while prioritizing tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Working Conditions:
