This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in legal affairs and drive strategic decision-making in a dynamic insurance environment.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice on key matters, including insurance products, distribution models, and marketing campaigns across major brands. Additionally, you will advise on regulatory compliance, including ASIC, APRA, privacy legislation, and financial services law.

In this role, you will draft and review critical contractual documents, such as policy wordings, PDSs, and statutory notices. Your experience and expertise will be invaluable in shaping the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal guidance on complex issues, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and company policies.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, driving strategic decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court and a current Practising Certificate.

  • 5+ years post-admission experience in financial services law, including the Insurance Contracts Act and Corporations Act.

  • Experience in a top-tier law firm or large general insurer is highly desirable.
