The Role

As a swimming instructor, you will contribute to the growth of our swim program by teaching students of diverse ages, abilities, cultures, and needs. You must be empathetic to the needs of your classes and available to work varying shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

You will have a passion for swimming and a commitment to making children safer around water. To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and a flair for working with children. Your exceptional customer service skills will ensure members, patrons, and parents gain maximum benefit and enjoyment from our services.

Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and current certifications including First Aid (Level 2), CPR, and AUSTSWIM Certificate - Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety.

The ideal candidate will also possess relevant experience and success in a comparable role, ideally with an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics certification or equivalent.
