Your Key Responsibilities:

You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team at St John of God Geelong Hospital to deliver high-quality clinical occupational therapy services to clients and patients. This will involve providing evidence-based clinical practice skills, ensuring adherence to Occupational Therapy Australia's Code of Ethics and SJGHC's policies and guidelines.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to clients and patients, either individually or in groups, for inpatients and outpatients. This will involve comprehensive patient assessments, including personal care, domestic and community activities of daily living, and cognitive and functional physical assessments.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment interventions and progress treatment plans to match functional goals.
  • Coordinate the provision of special aids and equipment to support patients' functioning.
  • Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering, and allied health professionals within the Division, as required.
  • Complete administrative duties arising from each session, including liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data, and completion of clinical documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary activities, such as team meetings, ward rounds, and case conferences, as required.
  • Contribute to the delivery of education programs within the service and for caregivers.

Requirements:

You will possess a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will demonstrate skills in assessment, treatment, and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice.

To succeed in this role, you will be able to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team and hold a current driver's license.

  • Salary $66,798 to $92,356 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Permanent part-time role, working 3 days a week (22.5 hours per week).
