Your Opportunity

We are seeking a specialist to provide advice and support for the delivery of Seqwater's capital delivery program. As a key member of our team, you will work to ensure Seqwater's compliance with legislation, policy, and other obligations while maintaining and enhancing our social license through the management of non-Indigenous and Indigenous heritage matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of services to support the management of heritage-related considerations in infrastructure project planning and delivery.
  • Provide specialist advice to management and project team members on the management of heritage-related matters.
  • Identify, plan, and coordinate heritage requirements, such as duty of care compliance or approvals/agreements, in conjunction with project schedules and other disciplines.
  • Plan, manage, and oversee cultural heritage projects from inception to completion, in agreement with Traditional Owners and other related Aboriginal Cultural Heritage legislative processes.
  • Coordinate the delivery of Seqwater's requirements and obligations contained within statutory approvals and binding agreements.
  • Support and provide technical advice during project incident management.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in archaeology, heritage management, heritage conservation, anthropology, law, or a similar field, along with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cultural heritage management, conservation, or a related field.

Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience providing technical advice to project teams in relation to complex non-Indigenous and Indigenous cultural heritage management matters and engaging, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with Traditional Owner groups and organizations.
