This role includes managing concrete supply for a key infrastructure project and overseeing the day-to-day operations of one or more Adelaide concrete plants. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safe, compliant, and timely concrete supply as the main connection between site production and the customer.
  • Championing quality excellence by overseeing mix designs, trial approvals, and NATA-accredited testing with technical backing.
  • Leading metro plant operations with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and a strong safety culture across people and assets.
  • Optimising performance by aligning orders, staffing, raw materials, and plant capability to consistently meet demand.
  • Delivering commercial impact through cost control, SAP compliance, contract support, and contribution to profit and loss outcomes.
  • Building trusted relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams while representing Heidelberg at major reviews.
  • Driving results and growth by producing clear reports, ensuring compliance, and developing team capabilities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5–10+ years' experience in concrete operations or heavy industry.
  • Proven leadership in plant or project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, logistics, and quality control.
  • Financial literacy (budgeting, P&L, SAP).
  • Excellent planning, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Undergraduate degree desirable but not essential.
  • Certifications in safety, concrete technology, or operations management highly regarded.
