Job Opportunity for Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to provide high-quality support services in the Traralgon area.

  • Support individuals with disabilities in accordance with their NDIS plans, ensuring their needs are met and goals achieved.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration, promoting independence and community participation.
  • Implement strategies to promote social inclusion and accessibility, enhancing the overall quality of life for clients.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of client progress and incidents, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to deliver exceptional support services, leveraging collective expertise and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Support or a related field, demonstrating expertise in disability support principles and practices.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Support Worker, showcasing a deep understanding of client needs and effective support strategies.
  • Manual Handling: Proficient in manual handling techniques and procedures, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of support services.
  • Medication Administration: Competent in providing medication as prescribed, adhering to strict guidelines and protocols.
  • Level 2 Experience: Demonstrated experience working with clients at a Level 2 support needs level or above, highlighting a strong ability to adapt and respond to diverse client needs.
  • NDIS Knowledge: Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant policies, enabling informed decision-making and effective service delivery.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help individuals with disabilities, fostering trust and rapport with clients and their families.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange between teams and stakeholders.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and ability to commit to a 24/7 shift roster, including active nights, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
