Job Title: Senior Manager of Energy Policy and Regulation

Overview:

The role of Senior Manager of Energy Policy and Regulation is a critical position within the organization. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of key policy and regulatory initiatives to ensure energy consumers are better off now and in the future.

The organization focuses on secure, reliable, and affordable energy as Australia transitions to net zero emissions, with a high-performing culture that supports autonomy and collaboration.

About the Role:

Oversee and integrate the teams' diverse skills to deliver key policy and regulatory initiatives each year and advance strategic objectives for energy consumers.

Advise the Board and Senior Executive Team as a source of expertise on retail pricing, policy, and regulation.

Represent the organization and its stakeholders to influence internal and external stakeholders on objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality documentation, reporting, and communication with senior leaders and stakeholders on relevant projects and activities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key policy and regulatory initiatives to support energy consumers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team in a fast-paced, complex organization.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience across policy and regulatory change, stakeholder engagement, and data interpretation/management.
  • Expert knowledge of Australian energy markets and the organization's role, including the political and stakeholder environment.
