Family Support Specialist Role Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact on the early childhood sector in Australia.

The role involves working at our research childcare centre, where we provide an intensive Early Childhood Education and Care program for children facing significant adversity.

A key objective of this program is to equip children with the skills and confidence to succeed in school, placing them on par with their peers.

In this position, you will be responsible for leading our team of Family Support Specialists. You will collaborate with families to identify and overcome potential barriers, fostering strong relationships built on mutual respect and trust.

You will also play a crucial role in providing crisis intervention and support services for families in distress or crisis, working closely with other senior leaders within the organization.

This role requires a deep understanding of family dynamics and the ability to respond effectively to emerging needs, particularly those related to family violence, mental health issues, substance abuse, disability, or complex needs.
