You will provide advice and information to drive process improvements, monitor performance, and ensure access meets regulatory and contractual requirements.
Using your expertise, you will contribute to developing, implementing, and negotiating a new Standard Track Access Agreement (STAA). You will help improve freight rail access, ensure operational effectiveness, and align with regulations and requirements.
You will ensure compliance and operational efficiency by conducting assurance reviews, providing analysis and insights, and coordinating the review, development, and implementation of operational protocols and continuous improvement initiatives across the NSW Metropolitan Rail Network and Country Regional Network.
Required Skills and Qualifications:You have a background in regulation and experience undertaking new track access agreements to improve the operational and commercial aspects of freight and passenger movement throughout NSW.

You can address complex queries, facilitate communication, and support the resolution of access-related issues and disputes across all rail operators. You are data-driven, able to identify trends and emerging developments to help shape improved performance, set goals, and develop frameworks for the NSW Freight Policy Reform Program.
You have experience in compliance and process improvements, capable of developing key metrics and KPIs to monitor outcomes and drive transportation efficiencies. Ideally, with a focus on rail access, you can identify opportunities for alignment and multimodal freight improvements.
