Senior Construction Supervisor

Take charge of our workshop team and lead a major project in Rutherford.

As a Senior Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and motivating a team of carpenters and trade assistants.

  • Coordinate tasks and monitor progress to ensure quality, safety, and 5S housekeeping standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior staff members.

The ideal candidate will have a Carpentry Trade Certificate III and at least 3 years of experience in construction, with a strong leadership and team coordination background.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Supervising and motivating a team of carpenters and trade assistants.
  • Allocating tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinating with other trades such as electricians and boilermakers.
  • Performing quality checks and providing on-the-job training.
Requirements:
  • Carpentry Trade Certificate III.
  • 3+ years in construction, with at least 2 years in a leading hand or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and meet deadlines.
  • Personal hand tools and a current driver's license (required).
  • Relevant tickets (forklift, EWP, dogman, confined space) highly regarded.
