Our organization is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in the Soils Section. This individual will be responsible for undertaking sampling of construction materials, preparing test samples, testing and physical analysis of these samples, reporting of test results and maintenance of records.

The successful candidate will conduct testing on quarry and recycled material according to laboratory work instructions, AS and RMS test methods, preparation instructions and manuals. They will also maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory Safety requirements of the Laboratory, as well as maintaining the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team. If you have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or Science degree, previous laboratory Soils / Aggregates materials testing experience, and relevant tertiary qualifications in science or other relevant disciplines, we would love to hear from you.

About the Position:

  • Maintain the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or Science degree
  • Previous laboratory Soils / Aggregates materials testing experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or other relevant disciplines e.g. Civil, Chemical or Materials Engineering (desirable but not essential)
