Strategy Development Role Overview

This strategic position is accountable for conducting research, analysis, and planning to inform business strategy. The role involves facilitating and developing the business strategy, including supporting mergers and acquisitions and positioning the company in key markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying problems and needs of key stakeholders, partnering with stakeholders to understand specifications and business requirements, and communicating insights to support organizational goals.

Key skills and qualifications include decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritization. The ideal candidate will have some well-developed knowledge and skills, typically within 2-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Problem Identification: Identify problems and needs of key stakeholders to guide data analysis
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with stakeholders to understand specifications, business requirements, and communicate insights
  • Execution and Project Management: Plan and deliver project plans by managing people, resources, budget, and timelines to support organizational goals

Required Skills:

  • Decision Making: Considers costs and benefits of potential actions and determines the most appropriate one
  • Problem Solving: Identifies problems and develops logical solutions that address the problems
  • Prioritization: Compares and ranks relative importance/urgency of different tasks to identify best order of actions
