About This Role

The Greenpeace Board is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the organisation. As a Non-Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the mission and direction of the organisation, setting objectives and performance indicators for senior executives, and monitoring programmes and activities to ensure they are aligned with the mission and achieving their goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee executive performance by setting objectives and performance indicators for senior executives;
  • Evaluate the adequacy and integrity of financial and other reporting to the Board and that there are adequate systems of internal control;
  • Ensure that robust risk management systems are in place;
  • Comply with governance standards;

You will also be expected to uphold your statutory and fiduciary duties, acting in good faith, avoiding conflicts of interest, and owing a duty of care, diligence, and skill.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to demonstrate high ethical standards and a commitment to corporate governance.
