The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Parts Specialist to manage the storage and distribution of bus and truck parts to our workshops across Tasmania. This role will support our Maintenance teams in maintaining our fleet's optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt and dispatch of new and repairable stock items for depots
  • Conduct regular stock-takes and cyclic counts to maintain efficient stock levels
  • Raise purchase orders as required, ensuring compliance with our purchasing policy
  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers on stock issues
  • Maintain an overview of stock levels and analyze trends for stock efficiency
  • Identify obsolete and surplus stock, assisting the Fleet Manager with removal or sale
  • Maintain accurate records of receipted and dispatched stock to meet operational requirements
  • Manage warranty of parts to replace or recoup costs for depots
  • Pick-up and deliver parts to depots as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in warehousing, distribution, or logistics is preferred
  • Experience in parts supply and management is preferred
  • Minimum full Car licence (Medium Rigid licence or higher is preferred)
  • Strong computer literacy and administration skills with the ability to learn internal systems
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
