Our organization is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our team in this dynamic role. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the provision of a positive environment for our clients.

  • This casual position involves a 7-day rotating roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.
  • Key responsibilities include preparation and serving of food, setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages as required.
  • Assistance with maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Effective communication skills are essential to promote a positive working relationship with colleagues and support effective teamwork.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing various equipment such as food trolleys and carry food trays, is also necessary.

This role demands strong time management and prioritization skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
  • A Working with Children check (if relevant) may be required.
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent service and supporting a positive work environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills are vital.
  • Superior communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
